The Missing Villager

The Missing Villager is not a game about solving a perfect mystery.

It is a game about how truth survives — or fails to survive — inside a small community.

The villagers are not puzzles to be decoded. They are people shaped by habit, fear, belief, and social pressure. Which is common in every countries' remote rural areas.

This game was inspired by a documentary-like interviews in a Chinese movie Journey to the West of the Universe , where answers are often indirect, fragmented, or strangely precise in the wrong places. The difficulty lies in how people choose to speak — or avoid speaking — about it.

The detective does not uncover the truth by collecting clues, but by learning how people tell stories.

Truth exists. Clarity does not always follow.
